The sewing machine feet I bought from amazon are £9.39 for 15 feet, link is http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sewing-Machine-BROTHER-BABYLOCK-KENMORE/dp/B00CJSUNIA/ref=pd_cp_kh_3
There are lots of choices if you search sewing machine feet. Invisible zip foot will also get you lots of choices around £5 to £6 .

Thanks Jacqui, I placed my order for the feet today. Regarding purchasing materials,, I have very little experience but John Lewis and Inches are easiest for me, however I would be interested to know the websites Alison mentioned to in her post

Physical shops that I like locally: Inches, Fabricland Bristol, the fabric place by the canal at Frampton. Also Painswick fabrics -great for bag materials. Abigails crafts in Stonehouse specialise in quilting fabrics. The Wool Stop in Thornbury has a growing fabric selection & a really good haberdashery section with things like tailor's chalk & sewing machine bulbs that can be hard to find elsewhere.
Online shops - I'll have a check to see which I've used, and if Ali checks this, can you note your favourites? xx

Hi - I have used a lot of on line fabric suppliers - www.guthrie-ghani.co.uk have a fab online selection especially of knit fabrics and Liberty print - the physical shop is lovely too if anyone is in the Birmingham area, have also used www.raystitch.co.uk good selection of vintage patterns and material, www.fabricgodmother.co.uk and www.trurofabrics.co.uk are a bit pricey but have some lovely luxury fabric, all the preceding have brilliant websites and good blogs for tips and hints especially for sewing newbies! www.minervacrafts.com have a wide selection of cheap fabric - I hesitated over this one - I got really good service - bought some Black Ponte Roma Knit which was good quality but it is a lot more commercial than the other sites mentioned, and I have seen some online comment that they are not always the best if there is a problem with your order - I didn't have a problem though! Finally By Hand London have a brilliant selection of patterns for beginners and great sew along tutorials as well. x
